President Joko Widodo Witness the Signing Contract Between PT Pindad & Ministry of Defence

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, accompanied by the Minister of Defence, Prabowo Subianto, witnessed the signing of the contract for the sale and purchase of Defence Equipment (Alpalhankam) between PT Pindad and the Defence Facilities Agency (Baranahan) of the Indonesian Ministry of Defence on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Hall D JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. The event was attended by TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa, Chief of Staff Army TNI General Dudung Abdurachman, Chief of Staff Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo, Chief of Staff Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, Chief of National Police Gen.  Pol.  Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Indonesian Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung. The sale and purchase contract was ceremonially signed by the CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose together with all service providers involved, including various Holding DEFEND ID entities.

CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose, thanked all parties for supporting the national Defence industry, especially PT Pindad through the signing of strategic contracts. "PT Pindad is grateful for the support given by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian Minister of Defence, Minister of SOEs, Holding DEFEND ID and all parties who have put their trust in us. We are grateful that today PT Pindad has successfully signed a strategic sale and purchase contract. Indo Defence this time is also special for PT Pindad because the President of the Republic of Indonesia is willing to witness the signing of the contract in person and supports the progress of PT Pindad.”  Obviously Abraham Mose.

The fulfillment of the Alpalhankam will support the stabilization of Defence and security, the fulfillment of the TNI Strategic Plan and the deterrence effect. The products that mentioned in the contract include the 4x4 MORINO MV CRUISER Pindad Tactical Vehicle, Anoa 6x6 Combat Vehicle, Mortars, Bullets, and Weapons.

 PT Pindad Introduces MORINO MV CRUISER and MORINO MOTO EV

On the same occasion, PT Pindad also introduced its newest products, namely the Indonesia Rekacipta Light Tactical Vehicle 4x4 – MORINO MV CRUISER and Indonesia Rekacipta Motor – MORINO MOTO EV.

MORINO MV CRUISER is a light tactical 4x4 vehicle produced by PT Pindad which is intended to support cruising operations in difficult terrain. MORINO MV CRUISER has agile and reliable maneuverability to support the mobility of its users in various operating fields. By using a 136 HP diesel engine, this Tactical Vehicle can travel at a safe speed of 120 km/hour and has a range of up to 650 km.

The MORINO MOTO EV is an electric two-wheeled vehicle produced by PT Pindad which is intended to support the needs of troop mobility quickly and quietly.  The MORINO MOTO EV is equipped with an electric motor in the form of a 72 V 50 Ah battery and has a power of 5 kW. In terms of performance, the MORINO MOTO EV is capable of traveling at a speed of 80 km/h and is able to reach a distance of up to 100 km at a speed of 40 km/h. MORINO MOTO EV is the result of innovation and development by PT Pindad both from the design process to the production process. The production process of the MORINO MOTO EV is carried out by optimizing the national automotive components & ecosystem with an estimated TKDN value of 80%.

In addition to introducing the latest vehicle products, PT Pindad presents various superior Defence equipment products at the Indo Defence 2022 including various variants of SS2 weapons, various variants of sniper rifles (SPR), machine guns of various variants, advanced shooting rifles (SPM/DMR) of various variants, SS Blackout, Mortar all variants, Gatling Weapons and the latest R&D weapons. PT Pindad also displays a variety of munitions products, both small caliber, medium caliber and large caliber.

PT Pindad also presented Combat Vehicle Anoa3 6x6 in a strategic partnership with Arquus - the French Defence industry, Combat Vehicle Badak 6x6, the latest variant of a strategic partnership with Rheinmetall - the German Defence industry, Tactical Vehicle Maung Brimob 4x4, Combat Vehicle Anoa2 6x6 with RCWS, Combat Vehicle Komodo 4x4 and the Tiger Medium Tank which has undergone a series of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).

PT Pindad as the domestic Defence industry has benefited greatly at the Indo Defence 2022 exhibition. By presenting superior weapons system products, PT Pindad can market products to potential users and demonstrate their existence in various international Defence industries.  Indo Defence 2022 is also an effective medium of communication and information for establishing business contracts and technology transfer, thereby strengthening the capacity and capability of PT Pindad.
