Today, Monday, March 14th, 2011 Pussenkav and Pindad organize educational activities in the form of "Gathering of Technology in Society" with the theme "Promoting the role of PT. Pindad State Owned Enterprises Strategic Industries in the Concept of Canon Combat Vehicle for Cavalry Army"

This activity is motivated by the condition of defense equipment Tank Combat Vehicle and Panzer which 90% are foreign made. By the age old enough to use a relatively course difficult and requires a considerable cost in maintenance, supply of spare parts. On the other hand there are not optimal rematerialization that causes operational capabilities and defense equipment combat vehicle decreased. It will indirectly affect the decline in the ability of soldiers in terms of technique and tactics.

Limitations of the mentioned above becomes an opportunity for the defense industry in particular for PT. Pindad which is currently capable of producing a wide range of military products that are reliable and the more expansive and innovative with the work of Panzer 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 (six wheel drive) for different types of needs and is planning to manufacture canon combat vehicle.

In line with the strategic policy of defense equipment, as arranged in compliance with the concept of the minimum essential force and also challenges of world technology, including in the field of defense equipment which is currently more diverse and modern, is necessary to optimize the role of strategic defense industry in the country, either through State Owned Enterprises Strategic Industries or private, to fill the gap in future needs of military defense equipment, to maximize the procurement of defense equipment for the type that has to be developed in the country.

This activity is expected to increase insights that impact on product quality in accordance with the wishes of users and is expected to Pindad as State Owned Enterprises Strategic Industries, able to provide the best work by producing combat vehicle Tank and Panzer gradually, in order to reduce dependence from other countries and to enhance its role to make an independent nation in terms of meeting the needs of defense equipment.

In this forum is also expected that the input in order to complement the aspirations and expectations of users and all stakeholders in improving the ability of defense equipment to create an effective defense of the state and has a high deterrent power. The purpose and goals will be achievable with the support of all parties, especially the Government and the Parliament in this regard the Commission I.
