PT PINDAD CROWNED AS GENERAL CHAMPION OF DEFEND ID CUP AT THE PEAK OF DEFEND ID’s FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Chief Executive Officer of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose attends the peak of celebration during the fist anniversary of SOEs Defense Industry Holding, DEFEND ID on the Thursday of March 9^th 2023, located at Holding’s office, PT Len Industry (Persero). This activity is attended by Assistant Deputy of Manufacturing Industry Division, Liliek Mayasari, director ranks from DEFEND ID Holding including the Chief of Technology and Development of PT Pindad, Sigit Santosa as well as Chief Finance Officer, Risk Management & HR of PT Pindad, Kemal Sudiro.

Officially created on March 2^nd 2022 and launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, DEFEND ID’s mission is to be a part of the Top 50 Global Defense Companies.

“Defense Industry Holding must be able to strengthen the national defense ecosystem, not only its holding members, but also to work together with other State-Owned Enterprisses as well as the TNI,” stated President Joko Widodo during the launch of DEFEND ID Holding on April 20^th 2022 in Surabaya.

From the forming of the holding, President Joko Widodo has stated that DEFEND ID must be able to strengthen the defense ecosystem through collaboration. This statement is compatible with the theme that DEFEND ID’s anniversary is upholding in 2023.

Carrying the theme 'Stronger Collaboration for Excellent Performance', DEFEND ID Holding has the goal to strengthen collaboration with other state-owned enterprises to achieve a common goal as well as to ensure Indonesia’s defensive industries’ self-reliance.

The activity is opened by a report from the Head Committee of DEFEND ID’s first anniversary, Business and Cooperation Director of PT Len Industry (Persero), Wahyu Sofiadi. He stated that collaboration is important to realize the holding’s vision, becoming a part of the Top 50 Global Defense Companies. He also adds regarding the detail of the competition that is done to celebrate DEFEND ID’s first anniversary, such as DEFEND ID Cup.

Wahyu’s report is on the same side as DEFEND ID’s Head Director Bobby Rasyidin’s reception.

“Last year there weer a lot of development, growth, and positive things that affects the report of pre-audit monetary condition. In the year of 2022, we have managed to achieve a revenue of Rp19.7 trillion. This of course comes from hard work, accountability, everyone’s commitment, and of course the support of stakeholders especially the Defense Ministry,” stated Bobby.

Bobby also added his hopes that in the second Anniversary, DEFEND ID Holding is able to be a part of the Top 50 Global Defense Companies, on the year of 2024 to be exact.

Assistant Deputy of Manufacturing Industries Liliek Mayasari in her reception stated that despite facing perilous trials, here is where DEFEND ID is formed and is able to support in order to keep advancing and improving.

In this joyous moment, PT Pindad became the general champion of DEFEND ID Cup which is a series of sports events to commemorate DEFEND ID’s first anniversary. The coronation of PT Pindad becoming the general champion for 3 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal. The gold medals were achieved by mini soccer, badminton, and chess sports on the behalf of Hernawan. The silver medals were achieved by basketball & DEFEND ID Rising Star. Finally, the bronze medal was achieved by the table tennis match.
