PT Pindad (Persero) at The Peak Celebration of 2013 National Resurrection Day of Science and Technol

PT Pindad (Persero) was participated on Peak Celebration of 18^th National Ressurection Day of Science and Technology year 2013. This event was held from August 29^th until September 1^st 2013 at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta. “Innovation for Nation Advancement” was chosen as the big theme for the event series which consist of National Coordination Meeting for Research and Technology, Ritech Expo Exhibition 2013, and various seminars and workshops. The peak of celebration was attended by President of Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, figure of Indonesian Science and Technology, BJ Habibie, and some ministers of 2^nd United Indonesia Cabinet.

On this peak celebration event, PT Pindad (Persero) was involved on some contract signings. The first one was an agreement between PT Pindad (Persero) with Badan Sarana Pertahanan (Defence Facilities Body of Ministry of Defence) or Baranahan about Anoa Panser procurement, meanwhile the second agreement was an agreement with Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kementerian Pertahanan (Research and Development Body of Ministry of Defence) or Balitbang Kemhan about Roket Pertahanan 122 (Defence Rocket 122) or R-Han 122 which is a joint project along with Ministry of Research and Technology, Indonesian Navy, The Agency of The Assessment and Application of Technology, National Institute of Aeronautics and Space, some of universities and institutes (ITB, ITS, UGM, and UNDIP), and also some State Owned Enterprise companies such as PT Indonesian Aerospace, PT LEN, Krakatau Steel, and PT Dahana.

PT Pindad (Persero) was also got one award from Ministry of Research and Technology for one special vehicle product, Anoa Panser 6x6. Anoa Panser was awarded as one of eighteen Excellence Work of Science and Technology which made by the citizen of the nation and successfully entered book titled “Sumber Inspirasi Indonesia (Indonesia Source of Inspiration)” which released by Ministry of Research and Technology and coincided with the 18^th Hakteknas.

Moreover, PT Pindad (Persero) was also participated on the 2013 Ritech Expo exhibition which held at Keong Mas Parking Lot, TMII. PT Pindad (Persero) was displayed some of leading products such as SS1-V2 Assault Rifle with its variants, SS2-V5, G2 handgun Combat and Elite, ammunition mock-ups, and Anoa Panser and Komodo Tactical Vehicle mock-ups. Some products which had displayed on Hakteknas soft launching last June, such as SPR 2 with 12,7 mm caliber which already equipped by a deduction of vibration and silencer and Cloud Seeding Agent CoSAT 1000 were also displayed. Tactical Vehicle Komodo and Anoa Panser were displayed on display outdoor area.

Various seminars and workshops were held with various theme which related to technology innovation in Indonesia. Director of Weaponry System, Ade Bagdja was participated on one of seminar which titled “Commitment and Contribution of Strategic Industry on Supporting the Realization of Defence Rocket Industry” which held on PP IPTEK Library Room, TMII. He participated as a speaker along with peoples who took part on national rocket consortium such as representative from National Institute of Aeronautics and Space, PT Indonesian Aerospace, PT Dahana, and representative from Ministry of Defence.
