PT PINDAD WINS 3RD PLACE AWARD IN THE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT DEVELOPMENT CATEGORY AT BCOMSS 2022

PT Pindad won the 3rd place award for the Community Involvement and Development (Environmental Program) category in the  BUMN Corporate Communications and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) 2022 event which was attended by Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta and hybrid online.

BCOMSS 2022 is the second year of a grand event for communication and CSR practitioners in SOEs. This BCOMSS award is a form of appreciation for SOEs that are able to position themselves as state companies that are always open and beneficial to the community, especially in communication and sustainable programs. 

BCOMSS is expected to become a standard and benchmark for programs as well as good and relevant Communication and Sustainability practices within the SOEs environment. This event is expected to be able to improve the quality and performance of BUMN Communication and Sustainability.

Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir in his speech said that Indonesia's two economic forces are natural resources and a large market.

"SDA which has always been used for the welfare of other nations, now is the time to use it for the welfare of our nation. That is the role of BUMN," said Erick.

Meanwhile, Special Staff III of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, expressed this award as a form of appreciation for SOEs that are able to position themselves as state companies that are always open and full of benefits for the community, especially in communication and sustainability programs.

“BCOMSS is expected to become a standard and benchmark for programs as well as good and relevant Communication and Sustainability practices within SOEs. This event is also expected to be able to improve the quality and performance of BUMN Communication and Sustainability," said Arya.

The Corporate Secretary of PT Pindad, Krisna Cahyadianus, appreciated the awards achieved by TJSL Pindad in the 2022 BCOMSS event.

"We would like to thank the Minister of SOEs, Mr. Erick Thohir and the Ministry of SOEs for their appreciation for PT Pindad's TJSL program. It is an honor for us because for the first time we won an award at the 2022 BCOMSS event. Hopefully this award will trigger enthusiasm for PT Pindad to continue to develop to become a BUMN that can provide optimal benefits for the country and society in the future, "said Krisna.

This appreciation event for Communication and Sustainability personnel is divided into two main areas, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Program. The categories in the Corporate Communications field are Social-Media and Corporate Campaign, Internal Communications Implementation, Media Relations Management, Social Media Rangers Activation, Stakeholder Relations Management, Corporate Communications of The Year and Content Creator.

Meanwhile, the categories for the Sustainability Program are SME Development, Community Involvement and Development, Creating Shared Values, TJSL Officer of The Year and BUMN Local Heroes.
