Pindads United Worker Union Annual Meeting
Three worker unions of PT Pindad (Persero); Serikat Pegawai Pindad (SPP), Serikat Pekerja Pindad (SP), and Serikat Karyawan Pindad (Sepakad) held One Day Seminar and Annual Meeting of Pindads United Worker Union with theme Internal-From Us, By Us, For PIndad on Monday and Tuesday, March 16th-17th 2015. This event took place at Learning Centre and Knowledge Management Department hall and attended by Board of Directors, top management, and member of 3 worker unions of PT Pindad (Persero).
On his welcoming speech, the committee chairman Dasep Trisna Yulinar said that this event was held to facilitate Pindad employees on facing on changes which currently carried out at the company. The Pindads United Worker Union want to contribute toward PT Pindad in a condition which called as the changing era, said Dasep.
This event was born as a result of coordination meeting between 3 Pindads Worker Unions. From the meeting, was appeared some exciting issues that perceived need to be responded with careful and smart because related with company progress. The internal theme picked because according to Dasep, things that should be fixed and prioritized were the company internal condition. Theres still no complete mapping and list about our strength. This condition needs to be prioritized because internal side should be strengthen from human resources and also their ability, added Dasep.
PT Pindad CEO, Silmy Karim responded to some main issues on his speech. Silmy said that change not automatically made company on defensive state. Do not be defensive, change is somehow inevitable. Dont make us become an anti towards change. Because sometimes, change for improvement is needed, said Silmy. Furthermore, Silmy explained about organization structure changes that continuously conducted until the appropriate formula was found to support company performance encountered the future advantages.
Closing his speech, the CEO invited all the company elements to stand together and build Pindad. We make sincerity as our main trait to build Pindad, hopefully all of our targets could be achieved. We will prioritize togetherness and mutually beneficial. My hope and everyone here is same, we build Pindad together. I cant do it alone, I need support from everyone in this company, said Silmy.
The first day was one day seminar that presenting some top managements as the keynote speakers. On second day, the annual meeting was held and divided into three big themes i.e. human resources management, efficiency and its implementation, and quality assurance and welfare. (Anggia)
