Joint Synergy Advancing Domestic Production

Monday, March 16^th 2015, Pusat Pemeliharaan Ketenagalistrikan (Centre of Electricity Maintenance) or Pusharlis of PT PLN (Persero) visited PT Pindad (Persero). The delegation which led by Eman Prijono Wasito Adi as the Head of Pusharlis, accepted by Director Operation of Industrial Product Wahyu Utomo at Auditorium Directorate Building of PT Pindad (Persero). Also attended this event was Vice President of Industrial Machinery Wawan Mustofa and some related staffs.  

Wahyu Utomo welcomed the visit of Purharlis delegation to PT Pindad (Persero) as the cooperation which already built since long time ago between the two companies. Cooperation between Pindad and PLN has been built since 1988, for generator projects. Until now, PT Pindad still doing some maintenance project from generators that belong to PLN, said Wahyu. He also added that currently Pindad on process to pursue one of PLNs projects. Currently, we arein the process of making the 8MW generator, to pursue PLNs target on August 17^th, 2015, added Wahyu.

Head of Pusharlis, Eman Prijono Wasito Adi said that cooperation between Pindad and PLN which already built had a same main purpose, to advancing domestic production. Between Pindad and PLN has a long running cooperation and strengthened by MoU between PIndad and PLN in 2014. There is one similarity between Pindad and PLN i.e. the spirit to increase domestic production, which is not an easy task, said Eman.

K Aji, one of staf from Divisi Pembangkit Jawa Bali said that this visit wanted to show the young generation of PLN Pindads ability at electricity field as one of national assets. We want to show the young generation PLN of the capacity Pindad as fellow state owned enterprises, which is also the national asset that needs to be developed, said Aji. Closing the discussion, Aji said that the detail information were hoped could be obtained to support the future cooperation. Detailed information about Pindads specialization is also needed so that cooperation with PLN through Pusharlis could be well developed at the future, said Aji.

After the event in the Auditorium ended, the delegation visited the Electrical Machinery Department, to see some supporting facilities of generator production. In addition, the group also had a chance to feel the performance of Anoa 6x6 Combat Vehicle and shot using a rifle and pistol in  PT Pindad (Persero) shooting field. (Anggia)
