Synergy, Pindad Launching Filling Machine for Automatic Hygienist Cooking Oil (AMH-o)

PT Pindad (Persero) carried out the launching of the Filling Machine Automatic Hygienist Cooking Oil (AMH-o) on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Gd. Kresna, Pindad Bandung head office. The event was attended by the Indonesian Minister of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita, Deputy Minister of Mining, Strategic Industry and Media of the SOE, Fajar Harry Sampurno and dozens of representatives of cooking oil producers in Indonesia to show that the domestic industry was able to produce quality cooking oil.

Filling Machine The Automatic Hygienist Cooking Oil (AMH-o) is a joint venture between BUMN Pindad (Persero) and PT Rekayasa Engineering which is a subsidiary of PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind), which is engaged in engineering services. This launch was a follow-up to the signing of the MoU in the field of production and sales which was held on August 16, 2018.

Cooperation in the context of BUMN synergy has given birth to a machine designed in addition to maintaining the hygiene of retail cooking oil and reducing the use of plastic bags as well as increasing the margin of retail traders. The initial design concept of AMH-o was made by RE and refined by Pindad who was experienced in making non-military equipment through the Industrial Business Directorate.

Abraham Mose said that this synergy could be useful to help the Government produce hygienic oil and benefit the community.

"This synergy is a milestone to be able to produce products that can help the Government how to make hygienic oil platforms and many benefits, especially for the community. This is good cooperation, "Abraham said.

Pindad which has the Industrial Business Directorate in addition to Defense and Security has the ability to provide production facilities, assembly facilities, qualified human resources, as well as assembly, production. The reliability of Pindad to carry out the production process is not to be questioned because the Industrial Business Directorate has been able to produce various heavy equipment products such as excavators, agricultural machinery, marine equipment, railroad infrastructure, generators, electric motors and forging & cast products.

AMH-o was made in order to comply with the Indonesian Minister of Trade Regulation number 9 / MDAG / PER / 2/2016 which requires the circulation of bulk cooking oil using simple packaging bags. AMH-o work system is to distribute cooking oil in jerry cans of size 18 or 25 liters in accordance with the Manufacturer's trademark to packaging bags in a number of sizes ranging from 250, 500 to 1,000 ml, through a filling oil system consisting of pumps, flexible pipes, solenoid valves and flow meter.

All components in AMH-o meet food grade standards. AMH-o operation is controlled by a microcomputer to ensure measurement accuracy. The microcomputer embedded in AMH-o is an electronic display board that is equipped with several buttons that are easy to operate (user friendly). In addition, AMH-o is also equipped with a GPS module that can help cooking oil producers to monitor the location of AMH-o units and the volume of cooking oil sales, both daily, weekly or monthly.

On the occasion of launching AMH-o, the operation of Heavy equipment such as Excavators, Alsintan and Komodo tactical vehicles was carried out using special fuels that were being designed, namely B-20 biodiesel which will lead to the B-50. Conversion to biodiesel is an innovation because the use of biofuels or biodiesel is often doubtful because it is considered not suitable with the machine, especially for heavy equipment.

The project is an initiation together with the Ministry of Trade which seeks to suppress imports of heavy equipment and defense products, while increasing the potential of products that can be exported.

PT Pindad as a state-owned limited liability company was formed in 1983. The company whose historical roots have been established since the Dutch colonial period, is actively producing various defense equipment for the needs of the TNI, and has also exported a number of superior products such as ammunition, weapons and combat vehicles to the global market. In addition to producing defense equipment, PT Pindad also has a Directorate that produces industrial machinery and heavy equipment such as excavators, railroad hooks, traction motors, generators, tractors to crane ships.
