Joined the Indonesian Pavillion, Pindad participated in IDEX 2021 Abu Dhabi
PT Pindad (Persero) together with 3 Indonesian defense industries, PT Len Industri, PT PAL, and PT Dirgantara Indonesia participate in the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) which was held on 21-25 February 2021 at the Adnec Business Center, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Chief Business of Defense & Security Products officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Wijil Jadmiko; Chief Business Strategy officer, Syaifuddin; VP of Business Development, Yayat Ruyat and Export Account Manager, Risen Delta became delegates of Pindad. This prestigious international exhibition presents 900 companies from 59 countries.
In the exhibition, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia formed the Indonesian Pavilion which consists of members of the defense industry such as PT Pindad (Persero), PT Len Industri (Persero), PT PAL (Persero), and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) and several defense industry private companies. The participation of Indonesian defense industry companies in IDEX is one of the initial stages to be able to play an active role in the global supply chain related to defense products.
IDEX is the only international defense exhibition and conference in the MENA region that demonstrates the latest technology in the land, sea and air defense sector. IDEX is a unique platform for building and strengthening relationships with government departments, businesses and armed forces across the region.
IDEX is held under the permission of the President of the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. IDEX displays developments in the defense sector such as developments in military technology, innovative products and development of national defense. And now, IDEX has contributed to the development of the defense industry both local and international industries.
In this year's IDEX, Pindad has again introduced various mainstay defense products. One of them is SS2 V5 A1, SPR-2, as well as Anoa and Komodo fighting vehicles. The implementation of IDEX continues to carry out the Covid-19 health protocol, starting from the mandatory use of masks to the availability of facilities for PCR tests at several points.
