Continuing cooperation, Karawang Regent visits Pindad

Chief Business of Industrial Product officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Wijil Jadmiko, accompanied by GM of Heavy Equipment, Cucun Kalsum received a working visit from the Karawang Regent, Cellica Nurrachadiana and the Head of PUPR Karawang Regency and entourage on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Pindad Office Bandung. The visit this time is in order to follow up on discussion of cooperation between Karawang and Pindad in industrial sector for Amphibious Excavator.

Wijil Jadmiko in his speech expressed his gratitude for the visit from Karawang Regent. Wijil then briefly explained Pindad’s profile.

“Pindad has always been known for its defense and security products, but now we are growing and has a directorate for industrial products business. Thank God Pindad's products are domestically produced, whose TKDN is above 40%, hopefully Pindad's heavy equipment products can be useful for Karawang," said Wijil.

Meanwhile, Cellica Nurrachadiana conveyed the purpose of her visit to review and follow up on the discussion between PUPR Karawang Regency and PT Pindad (Persero).

“Our visit here is to ensure that heavy equipment, Insyaallah, will contribute to the development of Karawang district. We are interested in the amphibious variant from Pindad’s excavator because there are many rivers and estuaries so that silting often occurs, rather than continuing to normalize (water areas), it is more efficient to see this amphibious. I feel proud of Pindad which is a producer of quality domestic products,” explained Cellica.
