Pindad develops its capability through ToT with Jon Cockerill Defence, Belgia

PT. Pindad (Persero), in cooperation with CMI Defence S.A held a training on CSE 90 Turret ToT on June 12th – July 21st, 2019 at John Cockerill Defence, Belgium. The training was based on MoU between PT. Pindad (Persero) and CMI Defence S.A number SJAN 13/P/BD/LN/IV/2017 dated April 29th 2017. This ToT traning proves that PT. Pindad (Persero) is always strive to develop its capabilities and create more innovation on Indonesian’s high quality weapon systems products.

PT. Pindad (Persero) sent 6 of its best personnels to be given the responsibility to learn about the ToT of CSE 90 Turret at John Cockerill Defence, Belgium. Six of them are: Gito Suwarno, Febiantara Juanda, A,Md, Rudi Setya Budi, Ginanjar Widhaswara, Dika Wardani, A,Md, and Aji Roswaji. The ToT process included assembling of CSE 90 turrets which consisted of 18 processes, integration, and finisihing process.

Through this Tot training, PT,Pindad (Persero) will be able to assemble, operate, and develop CSE 90 Turret independently. CSE 90 Turret was previously used as the main weapon on Badak Combat Vehicle. Badak is a combat vehicle with 6x6 configuration made by PT. Pindad (Persero). In addition to CSE 90 Turret, Badak combat vehicle is also equipped with 7.62 mm machine gun, ballistic protection, and 340 HP diesel engine which gives Badak the ability to go extra miles.

Badak is currently used by many missions carried out by Indonesian Armed Force. With the capability development through CSE 90 Turret ToT, PT. Pindad (Persero) will be having an important role on supporting the national defence sector.
