Deputy Minister of Defense and Secretary General of Ministry of Defense Review Pindad Munitions Divi

The Deputy Minister of Defense (Wamenhan) of the Republic of Indonesia, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono and Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan), Laksda TNI Agus Setiadji visited the facilities of the PT Pindad (Persero) Munitions Division located in Turen, Malang on Friday, March 6th. 2020. President Director, Abraham Mose along with the Board of Directors and GM Munisi received the visit of the Deputy Minister of Defense and Secretary General along with the ranks.

Abraham Mose said the visit of the Deputy Minister of Defense and Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense was to see the production capabilities of Pindad, especially the various caliber munitions and capacity building plans for the future.

"This visit is in the context of the plan to increase production capacity for pindad for Small Caliber Munitions (MKK), Large or Medium Caliber Munitions (MKB), Rockets / Missiles and others which are also government programs in this case the Ministry of Defense in order to encourage local industry capabilities , towards the independence of Alpalhankam, said Abraham.

He also hopes that the Ministry of Defense's full support in increasing the capacity and quality of Pindad's production can be realized soon to realize the independence of the domestic defense industry.

"Pindad hopes that the full support from the Ministry of Defense will be immediately implemented to increase production capacity, and increase the quality of Pindad's production to support the independence of Alpalhankam," Abraham continued.

The Deputy Minister and his entourage visited various production facilities in the Pindad Munitions Division, which has an area of ??166 hectares and consists of MKK, MKB or medium production facilities and development facilities and munitions testing laboratories. Some time ago the MKK production facility building was also inaugurated to increase the capacity of the needs of the Indonesian National Police which were still insufficient.

The area of ??the Munitions Division is also still large and unused and can be used for the construction of new munition factories and propellant factories, which are the main raw materials for munitions and are not yet available domestically. The location of the Munitions Division is also very strategic because it is close to Juanda and Abdurachman Saleh Airport and the port of Tanjung Perak.
