DEFEND ID ARRANGES SHOOTING COMPETITION IN PINDAD DURING THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY

PT Pindad alongside the company ranks unified in the defense industry holding DEFEND ID holds a shooting competition using weapons as well as munition manufactured by Pindad located in the Shooting Range right next to Building 100 on March 8^th 2023. This activity is attended by the representatives of the Board of Commissioners and Directors of each corporate entity that are members of DEFEND ID.

The weapons used are Pindad’s featured weapon, the SSE2-V4 using the 5.56 x 45 mm caliber, and the Armo pistol using the 9 x 19 mm caliber. SS2-V4 is the the best rifle of and the pride of Indonesia, which has supported TNI contingents to win international shooting competitions such as AASAM, AARM and BISAM.

This activity is held in the celebration of DEFEND ID’s first anniversary and is one of the many activities of DEFEND ID Cup. Contestants of this competition consists of several Commissioners and Directors from the companies that are members of DEFEND ID such as PT Len Industry (Persero), PT Pindad, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT Pal Indonesia, and PT Dahana.

PT Len Industry (Persero) Business and Cooperative Director, Wahyu Sofiadi in his greetings also relays his gratitude towards the involved committees as well as a several other corporations that has fully supported the DEFEND ID Shooting Competition.

Kemal Sudiro begins the activity with a shot right towards the targeted center as a symbolism to the start of the first DEFEND ID Shooting Competition. There are 2 categories that are contested, which are using long rifled weapons and short rifled weapons or known as a pistol. The first victor of the Category 1 Competition is Director of Risk Management Finance & HR of PT DI Wildan Arief, the second victor by Chief Finance Officer, Risk Management & HR Officer of PT Pindad Kemal Sudiro, and the third victor by Division Leader and Health Work Safety and Living Environment PT Pal Indonesia. Meanwhile in the short barrel weapons category the place of the first victor is won by Risk Management Finance & HR of PT DI Wildan Arief, the second victor by Division Leader and Health Work Safety and Living Environment PT Pal Indonesia, and the third victory by Production Director of PT DI, Batara Silaban.

In this activity Pindad also displays several weapons product, among them several variants of the SS2 Rifle, several variants of the SPR Sniper Rifle, PM3, SM as well as several variants of the G2 pistol, and also the Armo Pistol.
