Participants seemed enthusiastic to see various high-tech products and the results of innovations made by Pindad. The product that was innovated by Pindad on this event included SS2 V5 Kal. 5.56 mm, Subsonic SS2 V7 Kal. 5.56 mm, SPR 3 Kal. 7.62 mm, SPR 2 Kal. 12.7 mm, G2 Combat Gun, Elite, Premium and Mag 4 Kal. 9 mm and Underwater Assault Rifle (SSBA) Kal. 5.56 mm and mock up various caliber munitions, mock up of Anoa Panzer combat vehicles and 6x6 Badak Panzer.
Pindad's participation and other SOE such as Dirgantara Indonesia and PAL as strategic industries in the defense and security industry are aimed at demonstrating various technological advances and innovations that have been successfully developed by the nation to the wider community.
Pindad's participation in this event has historically not been separated from the factors of BJ Habibie who had served as President Director in the period 1983-1998. The third President of the Republic of Indonesia is now a national figure, Father of State and mentor in the Science and Technology community.
The Bekraf Festival Habibie Festival this year targets 90 thousand to 100 thousand visitors, after last year successfully presented 80 thousand visitors.
Pindad Show Innovation Products at Bekraf Habibie Festival
PT Pindad (Persero) returned to the 3rd Anniversary of the 2018 Habibie Festival Exhibition which was held on September 20-23 2018 at JIEXPO, Jakarta. This festival was attended by more than 200 companies both government and private, the event was open to the public without entrance fees. This year carries the main theme "See, Touch and Feel the Latest Technology and Innovation". Various themes were displayed at the exhibition booth, including; transportation, creative economy, property, and technological innovation.
