KPKU Audit Closing Meeting at PT Pindad (Persero)

After three days audit process on November 6th-8th 2013, was held the Kriteria Penilaian Kinerja Unggul (Excellent Performance Measurements Criteria) or KPKU audit Closing Meeting for PT Pindad (Persero). This event was held at Auditorium Directorate Building and was opened by Director of Planning and Development Wahyu Utomo. Also present at the event was the team of external evaluators, the Board of Directors of PT Pindad (Persero), Echelon 1 and Echelon 2 officials, and an internal team KPKU PT Pindad (Persero).

The three days audit was covered on desk review in the form of initial mapping on application documents which contained organization profile, questionnaire answers, and the performance results which already reported to Ministry of State Owned Enterprises and clarification and validation process through a site visit by documents reviewing and six categories interview. The audit process would result a feedback report which would help deciding the priority and planning of the next steps which would take to improving the company performance at the future.

Some points that generated from this audit process were divided into six categories which called key themes such as leadership; strategic planning; customer focus; measurement, analysis, and knowledge management; work force focus; and work system. From those key themes, PT Pindad (Persero) had some positive points that could be maintained, but there were also some points that need an extra effort to reach the optimal company performance increasing.

This KPKU audit would be an annual agenda from the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises and soon, there would be a Ministry Decree about the KPKU audit. The KPKU audit would assess the company performance comprehensively, started from process until the work result. That’s because the main focus for a company is a result, but the process toward the result should also be given more attention because it could keep the continuity of the company performance at the future. KPKU could also detect the strength points of the company also the points that potential to grow.

Hopefully, the KPKU audit result could be generated the feedback report that could show the company points that should be improved, so that the performance in the future could be prioritized. (Anggia)
