CEO attends the 2021 ITB Shooting Championship in Pindad

The Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Alumni Association (IA) held a shooting competition using weapons and munitions made by PT Pindad (Persero) which was held at the shooting range next to Gd. 100 on Sunday, December 19, 2021. The event was attended by CEO of PT Pindad (Persero) Abraham Mose, Chief of Technology & Development Officer Sigit P. Santosa, Chief of Business Strategy Syaifuddin, VP, GM & Directors of PT PIL, Vice Chairman of the National Work Meeting Adam Adilelana, Coordinating Minister for Tourism & Entertainment IA ITB Agustin Perangin-angin and the participants of Ralernas IA ITB.

The weapon used is a superior weapon made by Pindad, namely the SS2-V4 caliber 5.56 mm. This best rifle, the Indonesian pride, has supported the TNI contingent in winning international shooting competitions such as AASAM, AARM and BISAM. The SS2-V4 has an accurate shot using a 7 inch thick barrel. The SS2-V4 has a more compact body equipped with picatiny rails and updated safety features.

This activity was held in the framework of the 2021 IA-ITB National Work Meeting. The activity began with a speech from the Chief of Technology & Development officer Sigit P. Santosa. In his speech, Sigit P Santosa expressed his hope for ITB alumni to be able to continue to collaborate with BUMN industries, especially with PT Pindad.

"We really want the contributions of ITB alumni to be practiced and implemented so that the manufacturing industry, especially in the defense & security sector, can be developed together," said Sigit P. Santosa.

CEO of PT Pindad (Persero), Abraham Mose also in his speech said that Pindad is one of the defense industries that has carried out a good business transformation. Abraham mose also hopes that the industry in the field of Defense & Security can develop even better to realize the independence of the defense industry.

Abraham Mose opened the event with a shot at the target point, sending congratulations to all participants as a symbolic form of the start of the ITB IA shooting championship.

In this activity, Pindad also held a display of several weapons products including various variants of SS2, various variants of SPR, PM3, SM and various variants of G2 pistols and armor pistols. Maung 4x4 and MV2 4x4 vehicles are also featured.

Abraham Mose handed over an Anoa 6x6 mock up souvenir to the chairman of IA ITB, Gembong Primadjaya. Syaifuddin handed over a certificate and a Komodo 4x4 mock-up to the general champion for the male category, Abdul Luky. Meanwhile, Sigit P. Santosa handed over a certificate and a 6x6 rhino mock up to the overall champion for the women's category, Mimi.

The event was also enlivened by legendary musicians who filled the event, starting from Ian Antono Godbless, Yuke Sampurna Dewa19 and Krisyanto Jamrud.
