Encouraging Business Transformation, Pindad Collaborates with Telkom University

Along with the launching of the year of innovation and efforts to drive business transformation in 2020, PT Pindad (Persero) agreed to cooperate with Telkom University (Tel-U) signed by PT Pindad's Managing Director, Abraham Mose and Tel-U Chancellor, Adiwijaya at PT Headquarters Pindad Bandung, Tuesday (03/17/2020).

The scope of the collaboration includes education and training, research and development activities, programs related to innovation, design and creative science.

In addition, other collaborations are channeling and career seminars, the implementation of Human Resources services and facilities needed for the organization, and other collaborations related to Higher Education Tridharma.

After the signing, Abraham Mose said that PT. Pindad promotes good contract growth, revenue and company profits and continues to increase in the past four years, but on the contrary this can be a starting point for the company to develop the business.

"We continue to develop business, by looking at competitive developments, where the defense industry from outside is just entering Indonesia, in the country already has a well-developed private industry, so make Pindad also need to do so." Said Abraham Mose.

Abraham further said, departing from this Pindad this year launched a year of innovation, PT Pindad will carry out a business transformation starting from a special corporate culture in the field of innovation and development, Pindad strives to update new technology updates currently on the part of customers (TNI and Polri) have started to feel those needs.

According to Abraham Mose, the choice of collaboration with Tel-U, was agreed to be very important and appropriate, because the Tel-U assessment Pindad is a University that continues to grow, develop and has quality developments and develops very well. Initiation of cooperation has also been carried out with Tel-U to encourage the ability of colleagues at Tel-U to be able to make designs regarding the defense industry going forward.

Abraham urged, it is time for us to do business transformation, how the defense industry is more open, more competitive, with strategic partnership patterns for joint development and certainly does not escape cooperation with universities including Tel-U.

Meanwhile, the Tel-U Chancellor, Adiwijaya said this collaboration was very good for the second party, because in the future collaboration was very important.

"You are very important, we call 3C (Collaboration, Contribution, Country), this collaboration is not only for Tel-U not only for Pindad but for this nation." he said.

According to Adiwijaya, this is a good start, because indeed all of our activities are in accordance with what was urged by the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely an independent campus, free learning and others.

This collaboration is also a channel for the campus to place students in the internship and research process. Furthermore, Adiwijaya hopes that there will be an inventory of problems in Pindad. He considers these problems to be a source of opportunity, to develop better so that they produce greater benefits.
