Board of Commissioner Visit to PT Pindad (Persero) Production Facilities

PT Pindad (Persero) Board of Commissioner were did a plan tour to production facilities of PT Pindad (Persero).This visit was held on October 9^th 2013 and accompanied by Board of Directors and related Head of Division. The Board of Commissioner who involved in this event were Vice of Main Commissioner Major General (Retd.) Ali Yusuf Sutanto S.IP., MM, Brigade General (Retd.) Maman Soemantri, Djadja Sukirman, Ak., M.B.A., dan I Wayan Cager.  

Board of Commissioners visit was intended to introduce PT Pindad (Persero) to two members of the Board of Commissioners who recently joined, Djadja Sukirman and I Wayan Cager. The company introduction was one of procedures which should be passed by the new Director or Commissioner on Good Corporate Governance (GCG). With this company introduction, the new members who recently joined, could directly know the production capacity of PT Pindad (Persero), so that on their supervisory duty towards the Board of Director and company ability, be able to have enough data and information as a guidance so that the company performance could be maintained on maximum level.

The Board of Commissioner members were began their visit at the Weapon Division and got an explanation from Head of Weapon Division about the business map of Weapon Division which through some processes and involving some related department, started from product prototype making until it was in the hand of customers with prime quality. They were also visited 1^st Production Department of Weapon Division, in order to directly see the production process of long barrel riffles.  

After the activity at Weapon Division was ended, the group continued their visit to Special Vehicle Division. They were got an early explanation about Special Vehicle Division, such as the organization structure and some products that have been produced by Special Vehicle Division.  Furthermore, the group was got some other explanation such as product concept which would be produced and the assembling stages that started from early production until the product assembling. They also visited the production facilities at 1^st and 2^nd Production Department Special Vehicle Division to directly see the production process from armored steel cutting until the components assembling to form one complete vehicle product.  

Hopefully, the visit of the members of the Board of Commissioners could gather information that could support their work in order to conduct maximum supervision of the company performance at the future. (Anggia)
