Indonesia Defense Industry Information Sharing with Sri Lanka DSCSC
Eighteen officers that joined in Sri Lanka Defence Services Command and Staff College Course (DSCSC) were visited PT Pindad (Persero) on Monday, August 18th 2014. The delegations which led by Sri Lanka DSCSC Navy-Wings Instructor, Comodore AAP Liayanagee RSP USP psc were accepted by PT Pindad (Persero) Sales Manager, Neny Mulyani at Auditorium Directorate Building of PT Pindad (Persero), Bandung.
Comodore AAP Liayangee RSP USP psc said that this visit to PT Pindad (Persero) was a visit that conducted annually in order to increase the knowledge of the officers whom being educated about defence industry at some countries, one of them is in Indonesia. This is kind of study tour that we conduct annually for every course at Defence Services Command and Staff College Course (DSCSC). The course that being conducted for 11 months and a half which started from which started from late January until mid-December 2014 allowing the officers to attend a variety of lecturers and visits, including visits to other countries which represent the country's defense industry.
Meanwhile, PT Pindad (Persero) sales manager was welcomed this visit which she refered it as exchange information event about defense industry from both countries. This moment is a good opportunity for PT Pindad to introduce our products, capabilities, and production capacity. Hopefully we can make a good cooperation and we can exchange information about how the defense industry in Indonesia and Sri Lanka is worked.
The officers were enthusiastically in asking various questions about activities in Indonesia defence industry. Things such as PT Pindad (Persero) market segment development, product development for artilery, the spesifications about some leading products of PT Pindad (Persero), until the defense product purchasing process for foreign countries.
After the activites at the Auditorium were ended, the DSCSC delegations were visited one of PT Pindad (Persero) production facilities that is the assembly building for special vehicle products, such as Anoa 6x6 Combat Vehicle and Komodo 4x4 Tactical Vehicle. When they were visited this place, the delegation members were also asked so many questions about the production process of Indonesia leading combat vehicle. (Anggia)
