Pakistani Joint Defense Cooperation Committee Visit
PT Pindad (Persero) 's Director of Technology and Development, Ade Bagdja, received a visit from the Pakistan Military Delegation led by Rear Admiral Mirza Foad Amin Baig at the Auditorium of PT Pindad Bandung Headquarters (26/9). In this visit, the Pakistan Military Delegation consisted of Commodore Noman Bashir Usmani, Colonel Saad Yasin, Mr. Abdul Mannan, and Mr. Shaukat Ali. The Pakistan Military Delegation was also accompanied by Colonel S. Arief Hardoyo, Colonel Sugeng Haryadi, Mayor of Denly, Captain Rohimin, Mr. Danang and Ms. Ira Rahmawati. In addition to the Director of Technology and Development, the delegation of the Pakistan Military Delegation was also received by the General Manager of Pindad Special Vehicle Division, Widjil Djatmiko Budi.
The purpose of this visit is to find out more about the main manufacturer of Indonesia's weapon systems, PT Pindad (Persero). The Pakistan Military Delegation also agreed to see the production facilities and competencies of PT Pindad (Persero) in producing quality defense equipment products and facilitating various strategic cooperation needs.
Ade Bagdja expressed his pride that Pindad could be visited by the Pakistan Military Delegation. Mirza Foad Amin Baig also expressed his appreciation for PT Pindad (Persero) 's remarks and was interested in variety of PT Pindad products. In his remarks, Ade Bagdja also gave presentations on PT Pindad (Persero) 's best products such as Medium Tank, Armored Vehicle variants, such as Anoa, Komodo and Badak. He also explained various weapons products such as SS2 and industrial products such as excavators and cast forging products.
Mirza Foad Amin Baig showed his interest towards Harimau Medium Tank. There was an interesting discussion as the Pakistan Military Delegation wanted to know more about production facilities and domestic content levels of the Medium Tank. Furthermore, the Pakistan Military Delegation also wanted to know about Pindad's ability for being able to provide competence for the production and maintenance of various defense equipment products and fulfill the needs of the Indonesian military.
After an interesting discussion, the Pakistan Military Delegation Group gathered a factory tour to see the production process of defense and industrial products. The Pakistani Military Delegation put a serious attention to the production facility of Harimau Medium Tank. The activity ended with shooting test using various weapons made by Pindad. (Raka)
