RSAF Visit to PT Pindad (Persero)

Eighteen junior officers of Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) were visited PT Pindad (Persero) on Wednesday, October 9^th 2013. The group which led by Lieutenant Colonel Denzill Titt Eng Kitt were accepted by Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing, Triyono Andri Susilo at Auditorium Directorate Buidling. This event was also attended by Head of 1^st Production Department of Weapon Division and Head of 2^nd Production Department of Special Vehicle Division.

The visit by these junior officers of Singapore Air Force was done in order to know PT Pindad (Persero) and made them aware about Indonesia defence industry and various weaponry system products which produced there. In addition, these junior officers were also could directly see the production facility which owned by PT Pindad (Persero) in producing their leading products.

The event at the Auditorium began with PT Pindad (Persero) company profile screening, brief introduction about PT Pindad (Persero) and its various products from Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing, and ended with question and answer session. The young officers were asked many questions about PT Pindad (Persero) product capability, the raw material which used to make weapon and ammunition products, export activity which had done to many countries, and how far the involvement of Indonesian National Armed Forces in some of the weaponry system production.

The junior officers were also got an opportunity to do a plan tour to 2^nd Production Departement of Special Vehicle Division. They were got a comprehensive explanation about Anoa Panser and Tactical Vehicle Komodo assembling process. They were also asked some questions about configuration, material, and product operational.  

Before they were left PT Pindad (Persero), the group was got a chance to ride the Anoa Panser and drove around the Special Vehicle Division test area. Hopefully, their visit to PT Pindad (Persero) could increase their knowledge about the defence industry in Indonesia and the various leading weaponry system products. (Anggia)
