LPDP Conduct a Virtual Visit to PT Pindad (Persero)

Chief Technology and Development of PT Pindad (Persero), Ade Bagdja welcomed a virtual visit from the LPDP (Education Fund Management Institute) Departure Preparation Program 167 on Thursday, November 19, 2020. The visit was conducted virtually led by the Director of Research and Rehabilitation of LPDP, Wisnu Sardjono Soenarso and moderated by PIC PK LPDP, Shabahul Arafi. Different from the previous years, 189 participants in the LPDP program received briefings and the opportunity to visit PT Pindad (Persero) via video-conference and live broadcasts.

The virtual visit session is a field of study in order to gain knowledge, insight, inspiration, transformation systems and culture developed from the company as well as tips and strategies in achieving success. Through this program, participants have a sense of love for the Indonesia homeland, especially those who get the opportunity to study abroad. In addition, especially for a visit to PT Pindad (Persero), they hope the program will gain insight and pride in domestic defense equipment products.

In his remarks, Wisnu Sardjono Soenarso expressed his pride and gratitude to PT Pindad (Persero) for the warm welcome and the opportunity to visit the LPDP program participants. "Pindad is a strategic industry, which is the pride of the nation. We must be able to maintain and support the continuity of PT Pindad as National Pride." Wisnu Sardjono Soenarso explained to the LPDP program participants. Through his remarks, Wisnu also advised to make the best of the rare moment of visiting PT Pindad (Persero) virtually by listening to the exposure, discussing and asking various quality questions to the Chief Technology and Development of PT Pindad (Persero), Ade Bagdja.

Participants of the LPDP Program were then greeted and received briefings and detailed explanations about PT Pindad (Persero) by Ade Bagdja. He presented materials on Pindad products, both defense equipment (weapons, munitions, special vehicles) and industrial products (heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, railway support facilities, gas cylinders, commercial explosives to medical ventilators). Through product innovation and strategic cooperation, Ade Bagdja believes that PT Pindad (Persero) can achieve its vision of becoming the Top 100 Global Defense Industry. At the end of the material explanation, Ade Bagdja advised the LPDP program participants to be able to support PT Pindad (Persero). The program participants then had the opportunity to have a virtual visit session to PT Pindad (Persero) guided by the LPDP team, Jupri and Ara which was broadcast live via Youtube media. Visits were carried out to the Special Vehicle division, the Heavy Equipment division and the weapons division. Through this visit, program participants can see and get to know firsthand the SS2 V4 HB weapon product which is a mainstay in the international firing championships, the Tiger Medium Tank which is the work of the nation's children and cooperation with the Turkish Defense Industry, the Maung Tactical Vehicle which stole the attention some time ago and the Amphibious Excavator which has been used in the Citarum Harum program.
