Presidents Message: Fight Corruption with Bravery!

PT Pindad (Persero) participated in the peak of Anti-Corruption Day 2015, through an exhibition that was held on 10-11 December 2015 at Sasana Budaya Ganesha, Bandung. Pindads participation in this event is a symbol that the company as a State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), the company supports all efforts of the government in combating corruption that has lasted for several years. On this exhibition, Pindad is displays some of its leading defense and security products such as assault rifle SS2 V4 HB and SSX 7.62 mm, sub machine gun PM 2, and sniper SPR 3 and SPR 2. Some of ammunition products with 12.7 and 5.56 mm caliber and special vehicle mock ups such as Anoa Combat Vehicle and Cannon Combat Vehicle Badak were also shown to the visitors. 

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in his speech read out by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Luhut Pandjaitan said that the practice of corruption in Indonesia has done massively and systematic. Therefore, the prevention and eradication of corruption inevitably requires a synergy of all elements of the nation to work together against corruption. "Corruption is a crime against humanity. The key is to engage the participation of the Indonesian people against corruption, the synergy between the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, and exemplary leaders are also holders of power from the center to the regions governments to jointly build leadership that is free of corruption, "said the President.

"When all elements of the nation united, there will be formed the courage to eradicate corruption in the country. The Government will support all measures to prevent and eradicate corruption. This nation will become a great nation if it is free from corruption," he added.

Same thing was stated by Chairman of the Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (Corruption Eradication Commission) or KPK, Taufiequrahman Ruki. He hopes there is an ongoing synergy of each element of the nation to prevent and combat corruption, ranging from the smallest neighborhood. He also said that the Commission was still trying as much as possible in carrying out the function of combating corruption. "KPK is still on track. In the work, we strive to always do the precautionary principle, professionalism, and independency. In the process of action we perform in-depth analysis. KPK works solely for the rule of law, truth and justice, as well as how to save the state finances," he said.

In the same occasion, also read out the Anti-Corruption Declaration which is committed by some anti-corruption community and led by the band Slank. In addition, also done the two hands immersion into the paint colors by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Luhut Pandjaitan, Chairman of DPD Irman Gusman, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, and the Mayor of Bandung Ridwan Kamil. Immersion of the two hands and ten fingers is a symbol of the ten values of integrity which needed to eradicate the corruption that is honest, caring, fairness, independence, responsibility, hard work, simple, bravery, discipline, and patience.

Hopefully, with the 2015 Anti-Corruption Festival, awareness to always prevent and combat corruption can always be embedded in the minds of all elements of society to make Indonesia a net of corruption can be realized. Come on! Free yourself from corruption. (Anggia)
