Pindad Attends Focus Group Discussion of KSAD Expert Staff to Discuss Readiness in Supporting Modern

Chief Business Strategy Officer of PT Pindad (Persero), Rizka Putranto, representing the Chief Executive Officer, attended a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Utilization of Advanced and Modern Armaments for the Indonesian Army in Changing Strategy and Combat Tactics, located at Graha Zeni Pusziad, Jakarta (9/9). In this activity, Rizka Putranto also had the opportunity to become a speaker with the theme: "PT Pindad (Persero)'s Readiness to Support the Sustainable Modernization of Indonesian Army Defense Forces". Another resource person in this activity was the Iskandar Muda Military Commander Maj. Gen. Hasanuddin, S.IP, MM with the theme: "Implementation of State Defense Doctrine and Strategy by the Iskandar Muda Military Command" and the Commander of the Infantry Division I Maj. Gen. TNI Dedy Kusmayadi with the theme: "Strategy and Tactic Development Fighting Kostrad Aligned with Modernization of Owned Alutsista ".

The FGD was preceded by a speech by Koorsahli Kasad, Lt. Gen. Wisnoe Prasetya Budi. In his remarks, Koorsahli Kasad stated that technological developments have been able to change the way of thinking, communicating, accelerating movement and connectivity, including in the military field. The development of military technology has given rise to a high-tech form of warfare which presents complex challenges for the TNI AD. "The TNI, especially the Army, is carrying out modernization in accordance with the MEF. And of course this will affect strategies related to defense and how to battle tactics. With the modernization of Alutsista owned by the Army, is it appropriate to the needs, or is there a need for changes. "Therefore, this FGD is very necessary to get input for the leadership of the Indonesian Army," explained Koorsahli Kasad.

The FGD activity was carried out in the form of a panel discussion in order to obtain data and facts as well as suggestions for input from resource persons and FGD participants. Through this FGD activity, discussion of high-tech defense equipment and changes in combat strategies and tactics can be used as a product of study and input to the leadership of the Indonesian Army.

The activity continued with a review of the mini exhibition of PT Pindad (Persero) 's weapons products by all FGD participants. PT Pindad (Persero) exhibited various variants of Pindad's best weapon products including the latest innovative products, Pistol Armo V1, Armo V2, Armo V3 made of Polymer material. Polymer material can effectively reduce firearm weight but does not reduce quality and accuracy. In addition, PT Pindad's flagship weapon which won AARM and AASAM, the SS2 V4 HB was presented at the exhibition. (Raka)
