Pindad achieve the Fairly Informative classification at 2021 Public Information Award

PT Pindad (Persero) won a position in Fairly Informative classification in the 2021 Public Information Disclosure Award on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 which was held online. Pindad achieve a score of 74.61 and experienced a significant increase compared to the result from monitoring & evaluating (monev) of Public Information Disclosure in 2020 as an Uninformative company.

The Central Information Commission held this awards online and was attended by 337 public bodies. This activity was led by the Chairman of Central Information Commission (KIP), Gede Narayana and also attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, K.H. Ma’ruf Amin.

Ih his remarks, Ma’ruf Amin said that this award is an excellent opportunity for Public Bodies to continue to improve information disclosure efforts and encourage public participation in realizing transparent governance.

”This award is an excellent opportunity for public bodies to continue to improve their best efforts regarding information disclosure through various continuous innovations. This award is also in the context of managing public information disclosure, which is carried out to encourage public participation to realize good and transparent governance, and the result of this assessment are also expected to be means of introspection for all public bodies to maintain and improve the performance of public services,” he explained.

The Chairperson of KIP, Gede Narayana in the Award Report explained that this year, the implementation of monitoring & evaluation (monev) has decreased due to one of them being institutional merger of several SOEs and State Institutions, as well as Non-Structural Institutions. In 2020, there were 348 public bodies, while in 2021 KIP monev attended by 337 public bodies. Gede Nuryana also explained, based on National Public Information Disclosure Index (IKIP) this year it was obtained at 71.37 which shows result of the implementation of KIP in Indonesia is in a moderate position.

From the result of monev 2021, the classification of Informative as many as 38 public bodies, Towards Informative as many as 54 public bodies, Less Informative as many as 37 public bodies and Uninformative by 100 public bodies.
