Pindad Signs Three MoUs at IBD Expo 2018

SURABAYA - This IBD EXPO 2018 event is a momentum for PT Pindad (Persero) and other Strategic State-Owned Enterprises (BUMNIS) to explore cooperation and synergize with each other to realize the business targets that are the focus of the company.

There are three collaborations that will be explored to expand the business field. Pindad will establish a partnership with PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (KIEC) which is a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk related to asset utilization for the development of PT Pindad commercial facilities located in Bandung and Turen, Malang.

The collaboration will be marked by the Signing of a Momerandum of Understanding (MoU) represented by the CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose and Acting. CEO of KIEC, Priyo Budianto, will be held during the opening ceremony of the Indonesian Business and Development Expo (IBD Expo) 2018 which takes place in Grand City, Surabaya, Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

PT Pindad's CEO, Abraham Mose, said that the use of assets for the development of commercial facilities is a strategic step in an effort to optimize the potential outside the main sectors, namely military and industrial products.

KIEC itself is a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk which deals with property including industrial property, namely industrial estates, warehouses, industrial facilities and infrastructure, commercial properties, namely hotels, sports centers, golf courses, office buildings, recreation, apartments and Residential property which is home occupancy.

In addition to the property sector, other collaborations carried out by PT Pindad are PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) and PT Boma Bisma Indra (Persero).

The scope of cooperation includes two main points, namely cooperation in manufacturing diesel engine spare parts, fabricating and developing markets and their supply. The signing will be represented by the President Director of PT Boma Bisma Indra, Rahman Sadikin and Pgs. President Director of PT Barata, Tony Budi Santosa.

Not only that, to strengthen the spirit of synergy between BUMNIS in developing the country, Pindad and PT Barata Indonesia and PT PAL Indonesia have agreed to form a consortium to participate in the auction and implementation of the 400 MW Mobile Power Plant Supply Contract at PT. PJB with an agreement period of 3 years since it was signed.

The signing will be carried out by the Managing Director, PT PAL Budiman Saleh, PT Barata, Tony Budi Santosa and PT Pindad, Abaraham Mose.

The signing of the three IBD Expo natural cooperation agreements this year is a concrete manifestation of PT Pindad in contributing to building the country and achieving the planned business targets.

To increase visitor interest, and introduce the latest Pindad products to the general public, Pindad also presents the best products that have been produced.

Pindad carries a variety of reliable weapons products including carrying Spr 4 (desert) Mag 4 (desert), G2 Elite, G2 Combat, Underwater Assault Rifle, SS 2 V1, SS 2 V4, SS 2 V5, and SPR3. In addition to weapons, there are Anoa 6 x 6 Panzer Combat vehicles which are presented and replicas of several products from industrial lines such as Excava 200.

A total of 14 Strategic Industrial BUMN companies (BUMNIS) participated in one pavilion. The companies that are members of BUMNIS include PT DIRgantara Indonesia (Persero), PT Pindad (Persero), PT Dahana (Persero) PT INTI (Persero), PT LEN Industri (Persero), PT BARATA Indonesia (Persero), PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk, PT INKA (Persero), PT Boma Bisma Indra (Persero), PT PAL Indonesia (Persero), PT Industri Kapal Indonesia (Persero), PT Dok Kodja Bahari (Persero), PT Dok Perkapalan Surabaya (Persero), and PT Nuclear Industry Indonesia (Persero).

PT Pindad as a state-owned limited liability company was formed in 1983. The company whose historical roots have been established since the Dutch colonial period, is actively producing various defense equipment for the needs of the TNI, and has also exported a number of superior products such as ammunition, weapons and combat vehicles to the global market. In addition to producing defense equipment, PT Pindad also has a Directorate that produces industrial machinery and heavy equipment such as excavators, railroad hooks, traction motors, generators, tractors to crane ships.
