Pindads Weapon Action on International Customs Day

PT Pindad (Persero) was participated on celebration of 62^nd International Customs Day which was celebrated on Sunday, January 23^rd, 2014. On the celebration which themed Communication : Sharing Information for a Better Cooperation, PT PIndad (Persero) was participated on some events such as Shooting Competition which using Pindads weapon and displayed some weaponry system products on the side event exhibition. This event was held at The Headquarters of The Directorate General of Customs, East Jakarta.

General Director of Customs, Agung Kuswandono and Head of Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI) Nanan Soekarna were officially opened the Shooting Competition which was held at Shooting Room of Directorate General of Customs. This competition was participated by 15 participants which consisted of the employee of Directorate General of Customs and Nanan Soekarna as the guest participant.

This Shooting Competition was using one of weapons which produced by PT Pindad (Persero), P3 pistol. This Hand-held weapon was chosen because the caliber of this pistol which sized 7,65 x 17 mm are the requirements that must be fulfilled by the Directorate of Customs. In this Shooting Competition, Nanan Soekarna, who also a former Deputy Chief of Indonesia National Police, managed to become the first winner.

Beside the weapons that were performing at the Shooting Competition, PT Pindad was also displayed some of their weaponry system products such as weapons, ammunition, and special vehicle at the side event exhibition. The weapon products which were displayed such as SM2, SM3, SKPK, SS1-M1, SS2-V5 Custom, Sabhara, SAR, Shotgun, SPR-3, SPR-2, PM2-V1, P1, P3, and G2 Elite and Combat type. The ammunition products which displayed were Ammunition mock up, mortar launcher such as MO 60 CO, MO 60 LR, and MO 81 mm. The other products were also displayed were Cloud Seeding Tools CoSAT 1000 and Komodo Tactical Vehicle.

When he was opened the Shooting Competition, General Director of Customs, Agung Kuswandono said that the cooperation with PT Pindad (Persero) would continue to be opened through a range of products that could support the performance of Directorate General of Customs at the work field. Hopefully, PT Pindad (Persero) participation on the International Customs Day celebration is one way to reach the mutually beneficial cooperation for both parties in the future. (Anggia)
