PT Pindad (Persero) at 2013 Trade Expo Indonesia

PT Pindad (Persero) was participated on 2013 Trade Expo Indonesia. This event was held on October 16^th-29^th 2013 at JiExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. This event was directly opened by Vice President of Republic of Indonesia Boediono and accompanied by Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan, Ministry of Industry Muhammad Sulaeman Hidayat, Head of People's Consultative Assembly Sidarta Danusubroto, and the Vice Ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet.

According to Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan, 2013 TEI was participated by more than 2000 businessmen from among national entrepreneurs, cooperatives, Stated Owned Enterprises, and provinces in order to promote domestic products to international market. That reason, supported by 9300 buyers from 106 countries, 2013 TEI would be the right promotion media and hoped could increase the national economic.

On his opening speech, Vice President Boediono said that world economic would through some significant changes. Indonesia—including the businessmen—could prepare a variety of macro-economic policies in order to enter a transition period that would give the changes in the domestic economy. The vice president was also added that the businessmen who wanted to expand their business to foreign abroad, the government would provide their support in a form of full accompaniment.   

PT Pindad (Persero) was displayed some of their leading weaponry system products such as SS2-V5, SPR-2 caliber 12,7 mm with silencer which could reduce sound from 160 dB to 120 dB, G2 Combat and Elite type which used by Indonesian Army, mock up which containing ammunitions with various caliber, some of special vehicle mock ups such as Water Canon Policia, Anoa Panser 6x6, and Komodo Tactical Vehicle. PT Pindad (Persero) was also displayed one unit of United Nation Anoa Panser which used by UN peace keeping mission at Lebanon and one unit of Komodo Tactical Vehicle.

Some visitors who came from various countries didn’t hesitate to praise the products that displayed by PT Pindad (Persero). The visitors from Iraq, Yemen, Canada, USA, South Korea, and Malaysia were stated their interests to make a cooperation with PT Pindad (Persero) and wanted to visit PT Pindad (Persero) production facilities at Bandung, West Java. Many exhibition visitors were so interested in Canon Anoa 6x6 which appeared to be one of the centers of attention.

TEI 2013 was also became the promotion of various traditional cultures which had made Indonesia became remarkable in the eyes of the world. The art of “Tenun Ikat” of East Nusa Tenggara province, Asmat carving art, various Balinese handicrafts, unique appearance from traditional musical instrument Sasando Rote showed a variety of pop songs were also enticed international visitors who came to the exhibition that day.
