PT Pindad (Persero) Commemorates World Environment Day

The Government of Bandung works together with Bandung Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD) conducts the commemoration of World Environment Day which takes place at PT Pindad (Persero)s protected forest on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Attending the event, among others the Vice Mayor of Bandung, Head of Bandung Environmental Management Agency, and the Companys Director as represented by Director of Technology and Development, Ade Bagdja. This event has two different themes from United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and The Ministry of Environment. Each of the theme is Seven Billion Dreams, One Planet, Consume with Care and Dream and Act Together for Sustainable Living in the World.

On such occasion, Ade Bagdja on behalf of PT Pindad (Persero) expresses gratitude to Bandungs government for their trust to the Company as the appointed location of such event. Moreover, Ade Bagdja also says that the society needs to take part and actively involves in maintaining the national resources. This commemoration invites the society to actively take part as a nation to keep and maintain the natural resources as one of the elements in developing national resiliency, Ade Bagdja says on his speech.

The similar thing is also delivered by the Vice Mayor of Bandung, Oded M. Danial. He hopes that the series of event could bring changes in social aspect. I hope that these series of event could boost, strengthen, especially to ensure the social and economic changes, by not making an environmental issue. Although, it is clearly understandable that changing behavior is not a simple task, says Oded M. Danial.

This event is also livened up by booths exhibiting several of green products that aim to overcome environmental issues. Closing the event, the invited guests are pleased to have a brief tour around the venue and try some of the defense products, among others the special vehicle of Panser 6x6 Anoa. (Frangky)
