Sudirman Said, the New President Director of PT Pindad (Persero)

Took place at 12A Floor, Ministry of State Owned Enterprise Building at Medan Merdeka Selatan Number 13, on June 4^th 2014, was held an appointment of President Director of PT Pindad (Persero). This appointment was done by Deputy of Agro Business and Strategic Industry, Muhammad Zamkhani. Also attended this event were the Board of Commissioner and Board of Directors of PT Pindad (Persero) and also some of Ministry of State Owned Enterprise officials.

Based on Minister of State Owned Enterprise Decree Number : SK 118/MBU/2014 dated June 4^th 2014, Sudirman Said was officially appointed as the President Director of PT Pindad (Persero). The President Director position itself, was previously filled by Adik Avianto Soedarsono, whom was terminated on August 16^th 2013 and continued by Tri Hardjono as the Executor Duty after he was appointed by the Board of Commissioner.

Sudirman Said had occupied several positions. He was appointed as the Vice President of PT Petrosea Tbk, on May 6^th 2013. Previously, he was the Group Chief of Human Capital and Corporate Services at PT Indika Energy Tbk, after serving as the Director of Human Capital at Petrosea (2009-2010). Moreover, he was the Ececutive Director of Asia-Pasific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit 2013. On 2005, he was involved in Post Tsunami Reconstruction for Aceh and Nias for three years, as the Head Deputy of Human Resources and Institutional Development on Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency (BRR) Aceh-Nias. Before he returned to Indika Energy Group, he involved in PT Pertamina (Persero) transformation in which he served as Corporate Secretary (2008), and SVP Integrated Supply Chain (2008-2009). An alumnus Graduate from George Washington University, USA, where he earned his Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. He is also a Registered Accountant from the State College of Accountancy (STAN). He has now a seat on the National Council of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI).

Hopefully, with this appointment, he could lead the company and resulting various policies that compatible with accomplishment process of PT Pindad (Persero) vision and mission, become Asian leading manufacturer in defense and security equipment  in 2023. (Anggia)
