Interested in Maung, IPDN Chancellor visits Pindad

Vice President of Business Development of PT Pindad (Persero), Yayat Ruyat accompanied by GMs welcomed a visit from the Rector of Institute for Domestic Administration (IPDN), Dr. Hadi Prabowo, MM; Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hyronimus Rowa, M.Si; Vice Rector for Administration, Dr. Rizari, MBA, M.Si and IPDN officials on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Pindad Office Bandung. The purpose of today’s visit is to see the performance of Pindad’s newest 4x4 tactical vehicle, Maung.

Yayat Ruyat in his speech expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the visit of IPDN Rector and his staff. Yayat then explained that the defense industry have to move quickly to fulfil the needs of its users and fully supported by academics. “Indonesia’s defense needs is always on roll. The need of defense equipment is increasing so that the defense industry have to move quickly to fulfil the needs of end users and create stronger defense & security products. There is no denying that the need for support from academics, because industry cannot run alone and must be supported by academics.”

IPDN Rector, Dr. Hadi Prabowo, MM expressed his interest and appreciation that Pindad was able to proudly produce defense products. Hadi Prabowo said that Rantis Maung 4x4 has a high appeal along with the news about Maung. “After being seen through great publications involving various levels of society, Maung was able to create public interest in domestic products. And for this interest, IPDN wants to see it live and sipport so that Maung production can be developed for civilians,” Hadi Pranowo explained.

After conducting the presentation and discussion, this visit continued with a tour to Pindad’s production facilities of Weapons and Special Vehicles. IPDN Rector and his entourage directly inspected Pindad’s products and witnessed the performance of Rantis Maung.
