Building Pindad Through Honesty, Learning, Excellency, and Safety.

PT Pindad (Persero) CEO, Sudirman Said was acted as Ceremony Inspector in 69^th Celebration of Indonesia Independence Day Ceremony on August 17^th, 2014. The ceremony was held at PT Pindad (Persero) office Bandung and was attended  by the Board of Directors, the management team, and all employees of PT Pindad (Persero). 

69^th Indonesia Independence Day theme for this year was With a Spirit of August 17^th 1945 Proclamation, Support the National Leadership Succession for the sake of Continuation of Development Towards More Advanced and Prosperous Indonesia. On his speech, PT Pindad (Persero) CEO was invited all of PT Pindad employees to interpret this years theme and implement it on their daily activities that gave contributions for the nation. We are part of a community that already enjoying the embodiment of independence promises. One thing left is how our contribution on building power to protect all Indonesian citizen and our participation for maintaining the world peace. Because on these two functions, PT Pindads role will be very relevant.

He also invited all employees to live up to the spirit of optimism and founding fathers who boldly were had formulated a superb idea for the nation future at that time. The combination of conscience and capability can push the company's independence which in line with the ideals of independence. I invite all colleagues, management team, the Board of Directors, and all employees at any levels and functions of the PT Pindad to live up the optimism and their courage in facing the difficulties. Lets use our conscience and our ability to build this industry, because this industry is too important to be neglected. We have long relied on other countries and that dependency is against the ideals of independence itself.

On the same occasion, the CEO said that PT Pindad was a strong company that could produce anything that been assigned. But, to keep the company longevity, were needed the continual improvement to reach the independence of national weaponry equipments through company excellences. We will lift up our ability, Indonesia sovereignty, and national weaponry equipments by building PT Pindad into a health, competitive company, and able to compete and keep organizing itself to reach the excellences.

To carry out those improvements, he was emphasized some keywords such as honesty, non-stop learning, building excellences, and safety. He was invited the employees to build the company with honesty and dignity, non-stop learning in improving quality and way of working, honesty and continuous learning process will eventually achieving excellences, and always keep physics and mental safety while working. Lets build Pindad with always act honestly, reach the excellences, and keep our safety together. These keywords will be developed and formulated to become our corporate value. 

For safety point, on the ceremony was introduced some uniforms that support the workers performance at the production area. Some uniforms that being introduced were the dark green uniform for defense and security products production area, light green for commercial products production area, black uniform for security, and orange for the head-quarters. Hopefully, with these new uniforms, would formed the uniformity, and also to keep the safety of the workers. (Anggia)
