Vice CEO of PT Pindad Welcome a visit from Kemenhub

Vice CEO of PT Pindad, Sigit P Santosa accompanied by Echelon I Staff welcomed a visit from representatives of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) on Wednesday, 08 February 2023 located at Auditorium PT Pindad, Bandung. The visit was attended by the Head of Sub-Directorate Motorized Vehicle Type Test, Dewanto Purnacandra who was accompanied by the Head of Motorized Vehicle Design Coordinating Team, Riftayosi Nursatyo and his staff.

Th epurpose of this visit was to follow up and coordinate the pre-testing of PT Pindad’s vehicle which had previously been introduced at Indo Defence 2022 and inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

Vice CEO of PT Pindad, Sigit P Santosa expressed his gratitude to the delegation of the Ministry of Transportation who took the time to visit PT Pindad in person and then explained PT Pindad’s various products, especially motorized vehicle products and also explained the business lines owned by PT Pindad.

“PT Pindad had previously produced Maung Version 1 which was intended for military needs, but because the enthusiasm of civilians was so high that the product was developed again to comply with provisions of civilian use, one of which was related to certification,” Sigit P Santosa explained.

Head of Sub-Directorate of Motorized Vehicle Type Test, Dewanto Purnacandra expressed his appreciation for the remarks given by PT Pindad.

“Our visit here is in the framework of coordination related to pre-testing of vehicles that have been produced by PT Pindad. We also appreciate PT Pindad which has run the program of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo regarding the program for using domestic products. Hopefully in the future PT Pindad can continue to increase TKDN in producing its products,” said Dewanto Purnacandra.
