As a Form of Support from BUMN to the Nation, Pindad Invited Students to Learn the Archipelago

PT Pindad (Persero) also supports the program of the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in implementing the 2019 Nusantara Students (SMN) program. The SMN program aims to instill a sense of pride and love of the motherland early on to high school students / SMK / SLB. The diversity of the Archipelago's wealth and regional potential is introduced through direct interaction of students with the Government and community components in the provinces visited.

Together with two other companies, namely PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) as the PIC program, Pindad has a mandate to send 23 selected high school students from 7 districts and 3 cities in East Kalimantan Province to take part in the Getting to Know Program in West Java Province. Three of the participants were disabled students and were accompanied by 2 Representatives of Exemplary Teachers, 1 Teacher with Disabilities and 1 Representative of the Education Office. While students from West Java will be in East Kalimantan to participate in several similar activities.

The commencement of the SMN program was marked by a gala dinner for the release and acceptance of the 2019 SMN East Kalimantan Province, West Java Province Behind the Board, Wednesday (08/14/2019). The student exchange will take place for 7 days from August 15-21, 2019 with the main activities being mangrove planting and waste management.

During the activity in East Kalimantan, students including disabled students from West Java will be educated to become students who are more concerned about the environment through a series of mangrove planting activities, reducing plastic waste, environmental clean-up activities, and awareness of energy.

In addition to caring for the environment, students visit the BUMN office in East Kalimantan, join the National Defense with the TNI for 2 days, and visit Samarinda's Creative Enterprise (RKB). Not only that, participants will also participate in Youth Psychology Exposure, BUMN Partner Visit, Excellent School Visit, Art Lesson, and others. (Bani)
