BRUNEI DARUSSALAM CROWN PRINCE VISIT TO PT PINDAD (PERSERO)
Brunei Darussalam's crown prince, Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Jenderal Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzadin Waddaulah will be visiting PT Pindad (Persero) on the 5th of May, 2014. This visit is to observe the production facilities of PT Pindad (Persero) in weapon systems and production of vehicle as well.
The Crown Prince of Brunei will visit some of production facilities of PT Pindad (Persero) such as Weapon Division with various kinds of leading products such as Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, and hand-held weapon. Moreover, the Crown Prince will visit the Special Vehicle Division with its flagship products such as Anoa 6x6 Armored Vehicle and Komodo 4x4 Tactical Armored Vehicle. The Crown Prince will directly try the performance of these products.
In particular, the Crown Princes visit to PT Pindad (Persero) is to directly see one of Special Vehicle products, the Armored 4x4 Tactical Vehicle Reconnaissance Type. This type of vehicle is has a compact body that able to move swiftly in the battlefield, and suitable for reconnaissance and command vehicle. This vehicle using diesel engine with 215 HP and 4700 cc maximum capacity. This tactical vehicle body could resist ball ammunition until 7,62 mm with a distance 10 m. Furthermore, to complete the armament, this vehicle can be equipped with Remote Control Weapon System (RCWS) or other armament according to user needs. This vehicle is also completed with rigid axle that is good to encounter off-road terrain. Heavy duty coil spring suspension also enhances the vehicle's ability to maneuver in the battlefield.
Armored 4x4 Tactical Vehicle Komodo Reconnaissance type is functioning to reconnaissance cavalry or infantry operation. The vehicle can be used as a vehicle to read the state of war with lurking the opponent's condition such as strength, number, or war tactic the opponent uses and then report back to the commander to determine the next steps to be taken.
The visit of Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam is the first step to establish friendship and cooperation between the two countries, Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. Hopefully, the visit will generate favorable terms to both sides in the future.
