Pindad Launches Excava 200 Amphibious
PT Pindad (Persero) as one of the armament manufacturing companies and industrial products again launched the newest product "Excava Amphibious 200" which will be held at the 2018 Indonesia Construction Exhibition which takes place October 31 - November 2 2018 at Jakarta International Expo, Jakarta.
The Amphibious Excavator is a development of a standard 20 ton excavator product as a form of innovation by PT Pindad (Persero) which is intended to meet Indonesia's national infrastructure development needs.
Equipped with an Inter-Cooled 170 HP premium engine in its class, the variant with dimensions of 14m x 5m x 4m has been able to carry a weight of 30 tons to work in 30-40 degrees of dryness, different excavators in general must be given a 15-degree slope first.
Amphibious Excava is equipped with a special undercarriage to operate more optimally in watery areas such as swamps and rivers.
As for some other advantages in this excava product, among others, retractable and expandable pontoon means that the undercarriage installed in this product can stretch and shrink it works when mobility in a narrow or wide field.
Strengthening the pontoon inner part structure is given an additional stiffener especially in the travel section and front roller without reducing buoyancy. Next, the installation of a side pontoon or float is easy in terms of installation. In the case of the Spud operating mechanism it is located inside the cabin via hydraulics and is very practical for the operator.
This product is the only domestically made product with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) above 42 percent. Pindad strives to carve out a new history in the heavy equipment arena with a high local content because it is produced in Indonesia as a form of service for the country.
