President of the Republic of Indonesia Appreciates PT Pindad's Leading Products at Indo Defence 2022

PT Pindad displayed a variety of the latest defense equipment products (main equipment for weapons systems) at the international-scale defense industry exhibition, Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum on Wednesday (2/11) located at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. The Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, accompanied by the Indonesian Minister of Defence, Prabowo Subianto, TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa, Chief of Staff Army TNI General Dudung Abdurachman, Chief of Staff Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo, Chief of Staff Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, Chief of National Police Gen.  Pol.  Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Indonesian Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and a number of high-ranking TNI officials.  The Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum event was also attended by the Leaders of a number of officials from related ministries/institutions. Also present several Ambassadors, Minister of Defense, Commander of the Armed Forces, Chief of Staff of the Forces from friendly countries as well as a number of delegates from various countries.

Organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Defence, the Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum is a biennial exhibition of three-dimensional defense technology and a promotional event for the international defence and security industry.  Held in conjunction with the Indo Aerospace Expo & Forum and Indo Marine Expo & Forum, Indo Defence 2022 is scheduled to last for 4 days from November 2 to 5, 2022. With the theme “Peace, Prosperity, Strong Defence”, the Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum was recorded  as one of the largest defense exhibitions in Southeast Asia and even the World. This year's participants in total are 905 companies, consisting of 158 domestic companies and 747 foreign companies from 59 countries.

At the opening of the Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum, the Indonesian Minister of Defence Prabowo Subianto submitted an official report to the President regarding the implementation of Indo Defence 2022. "With the theme Peace, Prosperity, Strong Defence, Indonesia is committed to have external relations with all countries by carrying out defence diplomacy and improving defence force by developing domestically made defence equipment.  Then, encourage and advance the domestic defence industry towards independence in fulfilling the defence and security system. In addition, to create business opportunities and technology exchange between countries.”  said the Indonesian Minister of Defence, Prabowo Subianto.

CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose expressed his gratitude and pride for the appreciation and support given by the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesian Minister of Defence to the domestic defense industry, especially PT Pindad. This year, PT Pindad presented a variety of the latest defence equipment products and introduced them directly to the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Minister of Defence, namely the Indonesian Rekacipta Car 4x4 tactical vehicle - MORINO MV CRUISER and electric two-wheeled vehicle, Motor Rekacipta Indonesia - MORINO MOTO EV."  Obviously Abraham.

At the Indo Defence 2022, PT Pindad is one of a member of the Defence Industry BUMN Holding pavilion, called DEFEND ID. Holding DEFEND ID is a combination of five SOEs engaged in the defence industry consisting of PT Len Industri (Persero) as the parent (head) of DEFEND ID, which consists of PT Pindad, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT PAL Indonesia, and PT Dahana.

After opening the Indo Defence 2022 Expo & Forum, the President of the Republic of Indonesia accompanied by the Indonesian Minister of Defence reviewed the defence equipment products displayed by PT Pindad. CEO of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose warmly welcomed the visit as well as explained the various products that Pindad displayed at Indo Defence this time. The President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Minister of Defencr had time to review and directly appreciate the various superior products that have been produced by PT Pindad.

On a press conference, President Joko Widodo reminded Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto of the importance of encouraging cooperation between the domestic defence industry and foreign companies.  "Today I am tasked with reviewing Indo Defence 2022, together with the Minister of Defence, Mr. Prabowo Subianto. The organization of this activity is brilliant for promoting and encouraging products for domestic security and defence equipment. I also mentioned the importance of strategic cooperation for key technologies with other countries.” President Joko Widodo explained at a press conference during a visit to the PT Pindad booth.

PT Pindad display a variety of superior defence equipment products at the Indo Defence 2022 including various variants of SS2 weapons, various variants of sniper rifles (SPR), machine guns of various variants, advanced shooting rifles (SPM/DMR) various variants, SS blackout, mortars of all variants, the latest Gatling and R&D weapons. PT Pindad also displays a variety of munitions products, both small caliber, medium caliber and large caliber.

PT Pindad also presented Ranpur Anoa3 6x6 in a strategic partnership with Arquus - the French defence industry, Ranpur Badak 6x6, the latest variant of a strategic partnership with Rheinmetall - the German defense industry, Rantis Maung Brimob 4x4, Ranpur Anoa2 6x6 with RCWS, Ranpur Komodo 4x4 and the Tiger Medium Tank.  which has undergone a series of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).

Visitors to PT Pindad exhibition booth can also enjoy innovative products in the IT field, namely weapon simulators. Named “Pasupati”, PT Pindad in collaboration with UNS (Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret) created a simulator for the use of PT Pindad's weapons in a virtual space. Visitors who try Pasupati Simulator can feel the sensation of shooting conditioned with real situations through the SS2-V5 A1 rifle-shaped device. The use of Pasupati Simulator provides the experience of operating and shooting using PT Pindad's weapon products safely and can be enjoyed by all members of the community.

PT Pindad as the domestic defence industry has benefited greatly at the Indo Defence 2022. By presenting superior weapons system products, PT Pindad can sell products to potential users and demonstrate their existence in various international defence industries. Indo Defence 2022 is also an effective medium of communication and information for establishing business contracts and technology transfer, thereby strengthening the capacity and capability of PT Pindad.
