PT. Pindad (Persero) began to focus on the development of automotive and land systems technologies in 1993 from "National Car" Project, Pindad has been cooperating with various parties both local and international partners to develop a special function vehicle technology, especially in Armored Vehicles to fulfill national defense & security needs.

Pindad has been designing and producing various armored combat vehicles such as Tactical Vehicle 4x4 “KOMODO” and Armored Personnel Carrier Vehicle 6x6 “ANOA”. Pindad has delivered so far more than 300 armored combat vehicles in Indonesia and also support United Nations Peace Keeping Missions in many countries such as Lebanon, Central Africa, and Sudan.

Continuous research and development are conducted to achieve future goals in order to increase the capacity of business and technology. Our latest product is Medium Tank “HARIMAU” that has been developed together with FNSS Turkey and supported by the Ministry Of Defence of Republic Indonesia. The tank system is equipped with 105 mm turret and has good mobility to face various battlefield condition.
